Reading progress update: I've read 710 out of 710 pages.
I don't get it. There is someone writing about an extraordinary interesting time in history, writing about his own town, his people and ancestors and all you get is an increasingly bad Edgar Wallace like story... in some parts it was great, really nice, but this incidences were few and the space in between was just bad, and yes I think action scenes are most of the time better in movies.
